During the summer months the lake reaches and maintains a temperature of 21 degree Celsius which makes all summer sports including swimming, jet skiing and power boating a breeze. The Shuswap’s clear, warm waters are surrounded by over 1000 kilometres of shoreline featuring waterfalls and one of North America’s longest fresh water fishing piers.

In the wintertime, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. Hit the slopes at many of the area’s first class ski-resorts such as Sun Peaks near Kamloops or Silver Star in Vernon. Or try your hand at sledding, snowshoeing or cross country skiing at many of the local mountains – especially the popular Larch Hills.
